The Newark Downtown District Food Truck Frenzy is a highly anticipated annual event that transforms Downtown Newark into a bustling hub of food, music, and community. It’s a celebration of the diverse culinary scene in Newark that is organized by the Newark Downtown District (NDD) which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing and promoting Newark’s downtown area.

What to Expect

Each year there are typically more than 20 delicious food trucks to choose from. Here are some of fan favorites from the past couple of years:

  • Glazed and Confused: If you love donuts, you have to try the donuts from Glazed and Confused. One of their popular donuts consists of a caramel glaze with sea salt and crushed pretzels on top.
  • The French Quarter: The French Quarter is known for serving up a little taste of New Orleans.
  • Oink and Moo Moo BQQ: In 2016 they were named #1 Food Truck in the USA. They’re known for their deliciously barbequed meals of pork, chicken, and ribs.

Every year there is also live entertainment where you can groove to the beat of DJs or sit and enjoy your food while listening to the bands.
