So the East Aurora Food Truck and Fire Truck Event at Firemen’s Field should be great fun! It’s from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2015 at the end of the Pine Street Extension.

The event will also feature local live music and craft beers.

Look for Mickey Dee’s Catering, the Louisiana Cookery, the Black Market Food Truck, Whole Hog and Gypsy Gelato!

Food trucks will include 716 Food Truck, Amy’s Truck, Betty Crockski, the Black Market Food Truck, the Cheesy Chick, the Flaming Fish, Sassi Cakes Truck, the Great Foodini, Sweet Melody’s Gelato Truck, R&R BBQ, Pizza Amore, Philly Flattop, the Roaming Buffalo, J&L Boulevard BBQ., the Whole Hog, Thai Me Up, and Lloyd’s Taco Truck. 

Tickets are $30 at the door.

Lloyd’s Taco Truck, Betty Crockski, Sweet Hearth and The Roaming Buffalo will be there! And we hope you will too!

There will also be face paint, chalk art and family fun activities, plus live music and FREE Museum admission.

Twenty of Western New York’s favorite food trucks kicked off their seasons with the first annual “Freaky Friday” food truck swap from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 17, 2015 at Larkin Square. 

Conceived by Betty Crockski and the Black Market Food Truck, the inaugural event was to “drive up” some fun and friendly culinary collaboration.

“The [Betty Crockski] girls here were nice enough to approach us and coordinate an event and do it with us,” said Christian of the Black Market Food Truck. “Truthfully, they did most of the leg work, but we were happy to be a part of it… It was something we talked about doing in the winter time to generate some business for all the trucks in the period of the year when it’s just a little slower. We’re happy that everyone came out.”

The event was sponsored by the Emerling Agency, UB School of Management, Cindy Paper Co., and Larkin Square to benefit the Massachusetts Avenue Project & Growing Green.

Participating food trucks included Lloyds and Sweet Hearth; the Whole Hog and Frank’s Gourmet Hot Dogs; the Great Fooding and R & R BBQ; Philly Flattop and the Cheesy Chick; Big Suzie’s and Thai Me Up; Flamin Fish and M & S Street Eats; Roaming Buffalo and Mickey Dee’s Catering; House of Munch and Sweet Melody’s and Pizza Amore and J&L’s Boulevard BBQ.

Greg and Michelle, who’ve visited most of the trucks before, were very excited to try Lloyd’s and Sweet Hearth’s culinary collaboration.

“It’s a churro cheesecake at Lloyd’s with some kind of cheesecake from Sweet Hearth and Sweet Hearth had a peanut butter cookie sandwich,” said Greg.

Beer, wine, live music and food trucks down the boardwalk? That’s what you’d be getting from 5 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday from May 5 to October 27 at Larkin Square. Come grab food and a drink after work. Free parking will be available at Larkin Development Group parking lots.

If you don’t believe food trucks are integral to Western New York, visit the Taste of the Tonawandas this Sunday, June 7 between noon and 7 p.m.

Food Trucks will be there on Sweeney Street in North Tonawanda along with some of your favorite restaurants, vendors, craft beer tastings and bands.

Of course, food trucks aren’t the only draw in North Tonawanda:

Food trucks will frequently appear in North Tonawanda on Thursdays throughout the summer.

From noon until 4 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2013, 14 of your favorite food trucks will be riding up and down the Eastern Hills Mall parking lot in Williamsville, N.Y. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels for Western New York.

Featured food trucks include Hot of the Press, Thai Me Up, Rolling Joe, R&R BBQ, Knight Slider, Roaming Buffalo, J&L Boulevard BBQ, Fallymac, House of Munch, the Sweet Hearth, Pizza Amore, the Cheesy Chick, Amy’s Truck and Lloyd’s Taco Truck.

The event will feature silo tours, live music, beer, wine, ciders, and, of course, food trucks (including Lloyd’s, Cheesy Chick, Frank’s Gourmet Hot Dog, Matty’s BBQ, Pine Hill Fresh Foods, House of Munch and more!).
